Coinciding with London Fashion Week Bourjois will be setting up a pop up boutique between the 16th and 20th February 2012 in The Gallery above Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch. It will be a fashion and beauty pit stop destination where make-up and nail artists, hair stylists will all be at hand to give you a new look and then you can drop by the clothing shop where NFD will be present with our lovely collection and so you can swing by and get yourself some lovely new garms! It would be a great place to stop in before a night out you can come in bare faced in a tracky and leave a total glamour puss.

Yummy macaroons will be provided daily for the you lovely people to enjoy while you shop and get pampered. There’ll be many other perks such as guest fashion illustrator, Zarina Liew, offering personal sketches, competitions and prizes and Bourjois will be giving away hundreds of product goodie bags.

The best thing about is that T4 will be covering the whole thing, as well as bringing you live updates from LFW and behind the scenes action, so you never know you could get your face on the big screen! It’s going to be a fun packed few days and you won’t want to miss out so make sure you come and visit the NFD team down there.

Thursday night I went to see the electronic musical genius Nicolas Jaar perform at The Roundhouse for his new project Clown And Sunset. The man is legend, he manages to make all these sounds, whilst singing into a 40s style microphone alongside his band, taking you on a little musical journey. I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like it in there and it was different to any other gig that I’ve seen there, it was almost hypnotic. Here’s a link to one of his tracks on soundcloud.

How sweet is this shot of Lara Stone and Kate Moss for LOVE magazine? They look like they could be sisters! The floral ears Lara is wearing are adorable, would be a great festival accessory for summertime.

The one and only Queen Bee of NFD Lucy the amazing designer was asked to be on the judging panel of Glamour’s magazines online Syle Jury page. Her, Peter Andre and jewellery designer Chloe Moss were asked to give their opinion on a number of celebs gowns from The Golden Globes. Lucy gave her expert tips and here they are below incase you missed them when they were live.

Feeling the love for Penelope Tree this week. She was from model from the 60s, first photographed by Diane Arbus when she was just 13. She was from a wealthy family and it was known that they objected to her career as a model but I’m glad she went ahead and carried on because she was absolutely beautiful.

All that Remains is the brain child of Leah Lockley and comes all the way from the land of Oz. It’s a vintage collector’s dream as she only 100 pieces of each style and each design is meant to be a limited edition artifact that stands the test of time. If you were sad when the Christmas festivities ended because it meant the end of mulled wine and spiced cider fear not because last night I visited the WigWamBam on the rooftop of the Queen Of Hoxton and discovered a Nomadic hidey hole away from the cold in the heart of the city! They have a heated wig wam on the roof with a BBQ, little log stools, hot drinks and a fully equipped bar along with lots of twinkly lights and lovely views of The Docklands. It launched on the 12th Jan and is open for three months so you’ve got plenty of time to get down there and check it out. Last night The Maccabees played at Brixton Academy, it was the second time I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them live and they were absolutely brilliant! They’ve had a lot of hype over the last month since their third album, Into The Wild, was released at the start and it was great to hear some of their new stuff played live along with their more lively old stuff. I did push my way to the very front row and I did feel like the oldest person down there but was so worth it, the atmosphere was wicked. A friend managed to get us backstage afterwards which was a touch so were hanging out with the bands families while they waited for them to come back up after the show. I’ve got a MASSIVE crush on Orlando so was nice to get a glimpse of him. I highly recommend the new album if you haven’t had a listen already and the old ones are still my favourites. Tickets go on sale today for their next London show on the 8th June at Alexandra Palace and they are definitely worth seeing live.
